i love the excuses for the rest of the FF not joining johnny's adventures in strange tales, which so far in my readthrough range from "nah, he's a growing boy, let him handle it himself" (actually pretty affirming for his desire to be taken seriously) to "they didn't find out about it until later because johnny freaking snuck out to go one-on-one a dangerous villain who ends up putting him in a death trap" (see aforementioned desire to be taken seriously) to "welp, we have to go do Boring Grownup Stuff, like Serious Adult Money Taxes, totally unrelatable to you, the Torrid Teen-Ager, anyway don't you go sneaking out to one-on-one a dangerous villain who ends up putting you in a death trap" (said death traps, incidentally, are in this period of comics 90% likely to be chock-full of asbestos)
